How Limassol parents pick a weekly class

The weekly-class week is the engine room of family life in Limassol. Most academies run on a school-term cadence (September to June) with optional summer camps. The single biggest variable is location — pick something within 15 minutes of home and it'll happen all year; pick something across town and it won't survive November.

Here's a discipline-by-discipline starter list — every academy below has an active website, Instagram or Facebook page you can click through to check current schedules and ages.

Football

Three solid options: Aris FC Academy and Juventus Academy Cyprus both operate in Limassol with internationally-flavoured curricula, and Football Academy APOP Parekklisia covers the eastern villages. All three publish current sessions on their official channels — check ages before signing up.

Tennis

The Tennis Academy Limassol in Palodeia, Ioannides Tennis Academy and Valkov Tennis Academy are the three best-known kids' tennis programmes in town. They each run different age tiers — confirm the youngest age on the academy's site before enrolling.

Swimming

Stars Swimming Academy and Iacovou Swimming Center cover the school-age range, while Aqua Babies Cyprus is the dedicated baby/toddler swim option. Year-round indoor pools mean swimming is one of the few classes that doesn't pause in winter.

Gymnastics

Vikentia Athletics Center and Olympia Centre are established artistic gymnastics options; Rhythmic Gymnastics Onisillos covers the rhythmic side. All three are based in Limassol — pick by location and gym facilities.

Martial arts

Taekwondo Agamemnonos and Taekwondo Cyprus' Little Kids programme are the two most popular taekwondo options for primary-age kids. ASAL Karate Limassol covers traditional karate, and EWTO Cyprus runs WingTsun for older kids and adults.

Dance and ballet

DanceLand Studio, Lytridou Ballet School, Niki School of Ballet, Limassol Dancing Center and The Ballet Center between them cover everything from pre-ballet to advanced exam syllabuses. Most schools run their main term September–June with end-of-year shows.

Basketball, chess and art

Basketball: Phoenix Basketball Academy, Arthouros Basketball Academy and Moufflons Basketball. Chess: Limassol Chess Club for in-person play and Freedom24 Chess Academy for structured coaching. Art: Art by the Sea, Studio 8 School of Art & Design and Messy Art Club for younger children.
