Greek-mythology themed waterpark — one of the largest in Europe — with rides for thrill-seekers and gentler zones for younger kids.

For families: Online tickets currently include a free second-day visit during the season. Under-3s go free; 3–12 child rate; adult rate from 13+. Worth pairing with an overnight stay in Ayia Napa.

Lefkara — Lace & Silver Village

A whitewashed mountain village famous worldwide for its hand-made 'Lefkaritika' lace and intricate silver filigree workshops.

For families: Cobbled lanes, ice-cream stops and small workshops you can peek into make this an easy, photogenic outing with kids — best in spring or autumn when it's cooler.

Picture-perfect wine village built around the Monastery of the Holy Cross, with a stone-paved square ringed by tavernas, bakeries and craft shops.

For families: Flat, walkable centre — easy with strollers and small kids. Combine with a stop at the Cyprus Wine Museum on the way back to Limassol.

Millomeris Waterfall

At roughly 15 metres, one of Cyprus' tallest waterfalls — reached on a short, shaded nature trail through pine forest from Platres village.

For families: The trail is short and well-marked but uneven in places — better for kids 5+ and sturdy shoes. Cool and shaded even in summer.

Classic Troodos forest walk along the Cold River with little wooden bridges, ending at the 13-metre Caledonia waterfall.

For families: Beautiful but rocky and slippery in places — best for kids 7+ and confident walkers. Cool microclimate makes it a brilliant summer escape.

Camel Park, Mazotos

Cyprus' only camel park — home to ~60 camels plus ostriches, ponies, wallabies, llamas, alpacas, lemurs and more, set around a swimming pool and restaurant.

Ancient Kourion

Spectacular cliff-top Greco-Roman city with a still-used 2nd-century theatre, intricate floor mosaics and the House of Eustolios.

For families: Big open site with sea views — kids love the amphitheatre. Bring sun hats, water and proper shoes; very little shade on the ruins themselves.

Petra tou Romiou — Aphrodite's Rock

Mythological birthplace of Aphrodite — a dramatic sea-stack on a pebble beach with a small visitor centre on the cliff above.

For families: Easy roadside stop with a lookout, beach access and café. Pebble beach so water shoes help; combine with Kourion or Pissouri on the same trip.

Pissouri Bay

A quieter Blue-Flag bay tucked between cliffs, with calm shallow water, sunbeds and a relaxed strip of seafront tavernas.
